Esp and engine management light on :(

Esp and engine management light.
Hi recently bought ds3 dsport 2011, I am having issues with the esp light coming in and going off now and again. Wondering is anyone has has sone experience with this and what the issue could be ?

Have you checked to brakes out? Checked for fault codes or taken it in for diagnostics?

When they pluged it in they said it's the airflow sensor. However I dont understand how that is related. Now it feels different in 1st gear like it doesnt like it and you have to change it reliatavly quicker than before.
