How do torrents work?

To save content via torrent (for example, via The Pirate Bay), you have to download the corresponding file and then open it with the previously installed application. The advantage of the above method is that when the Internet is disconnected, the movie download will stop, but after the signal appears, it will continue from the moment of interruption.

Torrent files are transferred in chunks between devices (for convenience we will mean PCs). Each client downloads pieces of files and simultaneously distributes them to other network members. This achieves data redundancy, which reduces the dependency on each node in the network.
