Just received a letter from my local dealer inviting me to a 4-day "Loyalty Event" this coming weekend, with promises of "extra special discounted prices" subsidised by Citroen, exclusive onsite prices, and a £250 "discount loyalty voucher". Oh yes, and "a member of Citroen's Management Team will be available to agree additional discounts to [I presume they mean from!!] the dealer margin."
Apparently the showroom will not be open to the general public during the event. Yeah, right. Let's turn away Sid & Doris Bonkers for a weekend, why don't we?
Anyone else had a similar invite? (I assume that this is a UK-wide sales push.)
Does anyone have any info on how much dosh Citroen is throwing at it? I'd be interested to see whether the prices will still be above those available online from DrivetheDeal etc, but I'm not sure that I can put up with the anticipated hard sell to find out.
