When my TBM parents pass away, I still love and appreciate them. How do I manage their funeral and grave dedication? My parents want a dreadful LDS showing and burial.
Do I put my Mormon hat on (for the last time) and officiate with the made-up priesthood powers and drive the funeral and dedicate the grave myself? This is what they would want… sort of a final act in the stupid Mormon game.
Or…
Do I reach out to local leaders and have them officiate and subject all visit(3 other) siblings (who’ve left the church) and their families exposed to the ridiculous BS guilt lessons that will be preached at the pulpit, instead of actually allowing family and friends to speak about and celebrate their lives?
I’m hoping some of you have any tips or know alternative options. I’m torn… I want their last wish to be honored, but absolutely dread the thought of it, while dealing with their passing. I won’t have very much patience for Mormon BS.
