The instructions supplied on the thread makes it seem so easy when clearly it is not!

How did you apply yours? Tried mine using a hair dryer to warm up before applying but despite heating them for 10 mins til almost melting very difficult to apply.

Soaked them in the end in warm water and fixed ok but looked so tacky took them off again. Seemed to stick to the backing sheet and not to the front sheet for some reason.

If you put them in water then the backing sheet will not come off. You don't really need to warm them up. You just rub the front sheet and take off the backing sheet carefully, re-rubbing if necessary then hey presto stick where you want it. Rub again and peel carefully. Or not, as Mixin will tell you.

I rub the sticker to warm up, carefuly peel off the back, apply, rub on some more over the top with a cloth then use my Ikea Family card to smooth behind the backing paper as I peel away.

You can use other generic cards from your wallet

my one with the outline of the car went on no problem - the other 2 went to the bin as the first one i made a bollocks of and the second on refused to come of the backing paper.
