  • DS5 modifications - already!! Not selling well?

    http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...-now-99gkm-co2

I'd be interested to know what the sales figures for the DS5 are like (and the DS4, come to that).

    Not selling well?

The wheel change was as a result of customers and the network requesting it to avoid the congestion charge.

    YTD figures as of April 2012;

    DS3 - 6,100
    DS4 - 1,058
    DS5 - 307

With 225 or so Citroen dealers, that's just over 1 DS5 per dealer in 4 months. Not good - unless they've taken loads of orders and are awaiting delivery, in which case perhaps we ought to reserve judgment until later in the year.

DS3 sales are v impressive - but then we all know why, don't we?!

^ the big reason for the slow start was Citroen for some reason launched the car AFTER most business buyers would have ordered for the change in the tax year.

Would those registrations include demonstrators, Biggie? In which case fewer than 100 have probably gone to "real" buyers...

Yes they do, each dealer was required to register a demo.

And 67 of those are now on Autotrader, looking for a buyer.

Not looking good, which is a shame as it's a cracking design.

I was looking into doing just instructor training in the near future and a DS5 could be had on lease for 289 quid a month. See if its still there next year lol

I'd be very tempted to have a DS5 when it comes to chopping in my DS3 at the end of it's PCP period. It's just gorgeous. For some reason the DS4 doesn't attract me quite as much.

And the network is having a 'firesale' on them.....

This is what happens when Citroen gives each dealer a £30K car and tells them to register it and gives the network no support.

DS5 next year will be cheap as chips......
