  • Olympic Torch Comes to Naim Audio

So just at work today when out of nowhere comes one of the organisers for the Salisbury Torch Event for a factory tour of our company. He obviously decided that bringing a torch along would cheer everyone up, how lucky are we! Here's a few pics ... and its the real deal!

Look a bit silly in my work coat ahaha but pleased as it made our day much more interesting!
    Attached Files

I think it quite sad that people are doing this, it's my understanding that you had to be nominated to carry the torch and it was a honour to do so. Then some folks then try and flog it for a quick buck where others who weren't selected may have appreciated the honour more, as I said sad....

Very sad indeed. We still have my grandfather's torch from the 1948 Olympics & it will stay in the family

Kazzikaz- people in white coats behind you!!! - not there to take you away are they ?LOL

Tis a shame people sell their torches- however they may be under real financial pressures, and the money could make their lives a whole lot better
So will hold my thoughts on that one

Surely you can see it from some peoples point of view though ? If you were in their situation ( Skint ) I'm sure you'd do the same, If I had one It would be straight on ebay !

Seriously, that is a pretty cool piece of family history to pass down through the generations.

Ahaha no!! Although sometimes after a hectic day I wish someone in a white coat WOULD lock me up!

Zack, yes it is I'd love a system in my DS3 but apparently all of the gear is massive and very heavy and only Bently's can cope ahaha. Glad you like the system though
