Don't think we have a thread like this, thought it could maybe even be amusing! I'll go first....

Strange one this, a friend of mine has a 2009 skoda fabia that decided to cut out everytime she hit 40 mph. After about a week she managed to get it booked in to get it looked at and after hooking it up they found the cause.....she had 2 brake lights out!
Now the mechanic said it was most likely some form of safety measure rather than a fault somewhere, surely he was drunk?!

If he replaced the bulbs and it started working fine again, I'd go with him and say a safety feature. A clever one at that!

What kind of safety feature would randomly cut your car out at 40mph though, more like an UN-safety feature?

A car that doesn't have any brake lights? I'm not sure about you but I certainly wouldn't like following a car at those speeds without knowing if they intend on stopping to turn or pull over..
