  • Tyre Disaster

Was just faced with the choice of sliding into a parked civic type-r or drive intothe kerb after sliding on a stupid patch if ice. Didn't do too much damage too the wheel just a small chip but it's put a slice in my front tyre, it doesnt seem to have gone through but itl def need replacing. This annoys me. Anyone else had to replace a potenza on the DSport?
    Hope everyone is ok!

Really bad luck, mate - but better a new tyre than an insurance claim...

I'd be tempted to choose a different tyre - the Potenzas came off very badly in the recent AutoExpress tyre test, and my experience this week is that they're cr*p in snow.

I was using Toyo Proxes T1-R on my C2 (and my son is still using them as he now has that car) and they coped way better with the snow, he was able to drive up our road and straight into the driveway, whereas I couldn't get traction to get into the driveway (not until I got a helping hand in the way of a push).
Don't know if they do one to fit the 17" wheels though
