According to the NSA (PRISM leaks) iPhones are for zombies
But each to his own, I have uers from all camps on site. Used all myself. I stil say look at usage and then look at the OS and then the hardware. Depends on what you want. If you want a simple interface then iPhone, if you want fiddliness and widgets Android, and if you want solidity (stability and security)and slightly lesser apps then windows phone.

Been using Android for the last 5 years and have been more than happy with it, never had any problems. Still use my S2 as I couldn't see any point in upgrading to an HTC or S4.
The thing is that we all want to think we have the 'best' and that's where these silly debates come from. Think of it as a prestige and status defect!
...I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
I work for national telecom operator and fortunately every (known and unknown) brand of mobile phone has been in my pockets in these last 4,5 years.
I get to test the ones that are not on the market yet but still the one that always amazes me year in year out (android sort of course) is HTC.
Let's talk about famous brands.
Most of the Samsung's tend to lag and reset (might be because they are variants, but my non-variant galaxy S3 resets two times a week at least), LG's are usually great value for the money no matter what and are progressing knowing where is their position, Alcatel did a great job this year but still need to work on their SW, Huawei is...hmm...no comment because it is pricey and not desirable brand on the market at all (for now), iPhone's and Nokia Lumia's (the whole range on WP 8) are very stable, except that Lumia 920 tends to appear dead for no explicable reason, but hard reset always helps, and Lumia's 00' (on WP7) are unstable but still usable.
HTC is number one because of their Sense loader which I absolutely love, but camera SW and optics are no close to Samsung and even LG's no matter what they advertise. Mostly without problems that are common to most of Android models like lag, reset and so on.
Android as an OS is not stable at all that is the reason why most of the big fish companies don't allow their e-mails or access to their internal servers for their employees on Android platform. iOS, RIM and WP8 are only supported standards in serious businesses.
iOS is very stable with the absence of extreme customization (without JB) but still great OS.
Windows 8 is perfect for business use only because of it's native office functionality, managers love it. Windows 7 is unstable. The difference between 7 and 8 is huge especially considering architecture of two OS's and the last one is on NT architecture which can theoretically lead to blue screens on your new Lumia's:-).
Disclaimer: This is my experience, I never test low end models of any maker. I usually test flagship's and the one level below. I'm always talking from my experience and about models for EEU market's which (I agree) can be sometimes less of a quality compared to those for WEU markets.
@Biggy 'best' or not all 'fashion' people tend to have the best 'stuff' on the market, just like the car's right?
No one buys DS3 for it's practicality and economy right? If your claims were true than an old DS could do the job just like a new one, but where is the fun, excitement, prestige, luxury and so on. Or maybe I misunderstood your post:-O:redface:
PS: guys be on a lookout for HTC One Max, I just love it for now, but still can't flash it around (NDA):-):-):-)
....I'm sorry for such a long post but I just noticed it is soooo big.

...4 million people are very lucky to live in Bosnia...others didn't have that kind of luck, but have everything else...
I've an iPhone 4 n love it I'm terrible with technology , didn't have calculators when I went to school n need idiot guides lol. I find iPhone n iPad easy to use n reliable . Not sure which new iPhone I will choose, probably see contract prices first though pinks an attraction lol . I had Omnia2 before iPhone with Windows on it n it baffled my lil brain cell , daughter had Android but fell for my iPhone n now has 1 on contract .
i recently upgraded from the samsung galaxy s2 to the nexus 4 and love it, photosphere is just awesome. next is to drop contract in two months and go on giffgaff £10 a month. worked out already i'll save £450+ over 24 months and thats buying the nexus 4 outright
Pah, Retro is the 'in' thing just now so lets all buy something from here!
My first mobile- BT Pearl with the pull out aerial....on BT Cellnet too....ultimately went digital from analogue and turned into 02
