Auto Express have been looking back at 2013 and the car adverts that 'graced' our TV's - Auto Express feature

I'm still haunted by this one from 2010:

Is there any truth in a really good car doesn't need much advertising- it sells itself? (To a degree)
Don't think the DS3 sold loads because of their adverts a couple years ago- didn't think there was an ad to start

This advert always give me chills, shame the car isn't actually that fun to drive...

Awesomely cool, considering it's a Skoda...

Best advert of all time is this... Lot's will dispute this but it's an easy decision for me. Gives me amazing memory's of when I was a kid and something about it always struck, stopped me and made me watch the whole thing - almost hypnotic.

Audi is trying too hard with the R8, clever ad but when did a supercar need to advertise? Besides there are far better engine noises out there!

For me my favorite Audi ad was this one, a bit cheeky by having a jab at Lexus but fun

Hardly trying too hard. they removed the engine cover and then filmed it.. I'd say that was hardly trying at all.

Fair play to Audi for actually trying to sell a supercar to the mass public also. I don't think I've ever seen an advert for any other supercar's recently.
