Are you going to post links to where you got it all from ? A mini guide would help others who want to do the same as you

Haha, to be fair I'd rather the title Nico than Crashtor Maldonado.

I did initially order from Joovuu but they were having loads of stock problems and they just weren't keeping me updated on the status of my order so I cancelled it. I instead bought mine from HobbyKing.

The camera with a wide angle lens can be bought here for £45: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Video_Out.html

The ribbon cable is here for £3: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ble_200mm.html

The 3m USB cable with clips is here: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=51961

I needed to add €18.43 in customs which when I paid was £15.29.

There's a YouTube video on how to install the ribbon by Techmoan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qx5fgy8f28

        • Here's some more sample footage for you, this time of the Mobius' performance in low light. It's not amazing, but it is very good and definitely usable.

I've set the camera to record in 5 minute chunks and in the first few seconds over the bus stop you'll see what happens when one 5 minute clip ends and the next starts. There's an overlap of about 1 second.

Finally I know the wide-angle lens makes it difficult to get a sense of the speed I'm travelling but when I pass the speed camera I'm doing exactly 30mph.

It should be there, on the forum the video is embedded in the post and in Tapatalk it appears as a link.

I was just looking for the perfect opportunity to puncture his rear tyre.

                  • That footage looks decent.
Sadly my EPRANCE 0803 is useless at night. The image is purple/yellow blocks and you can only just make out the road if it's very well lit. I have emailed the seller and waiting for a reply. I assume mine is broken because a lot of online reviews praise the camera? Certainly not worth more than £1 in it's current condition :-(

Edit - First reply from the seller says that the grainy images are standard :-/
They are looking at some sample videos for the remaining problems...

                    • Email back from seller has given me a long list of things to try including a firmware file which should force the camera to update some how... If nothing works then they will give me info on how to ship the camera to China for a replacement...

Radio might be on a bit loud, Youtube Copyright flags everywhere! Videos might go offline for a bit...

Edit: Not all the files have this problem, it looks like it developed on the 4 hour drive back from Wales; I'll post some of the good clips showing the camera at it's best too :-D

                      • The Camera I have was from China and all the extras didnt work (GPS, location, speed etc) so had a moan up and got half the money back.
Still good for a dual aspect camera- records front and back, and thatll do me

Had the screen go the colours u describe Madman, but it cleared after a few days, having taken the battery and chip out.
If anyone wants a serious camera, think over £100 has to be paid

                            • Seller wants the camera sent back to China for a replacement, online prices from Royal Mail suggest it's only £14.95 to post recorded and insured upto £250 and sent within 3 days! Cheaper than a Dominos pizza from London :-) postage will be refunded also :-) Hopefully everything keeps going smoothly...

                              • Dashcam audio crackle on playback

The dashcam i got cheap(ish) from China, is a dual screen forward/reverse recording camera and its fine for keeping a record of stuff happening

Problem is, the audio on playback has the charachteristic crackle with the rise and fall of the engine revs. So a suppressor is needed.

Wheres best place for this, as the unit gets its power from the cigarrette lkighter access by the handbrake? Should i put some sort of suppressor at that connection (Not sure how) or on the alternator?

Any ideas- suppose i could buy a good quality one. LOL

                                Thanks for any advice
