  • Spoilers - where not to have them...

On a C1?? Just doesn't look right and considering the car doesn't (can't??) really go fast enough to need one. But that's just my thinking. What do you guys and gals think?
Thankfully it's only a courtesy car and will be going back tomorrow. I'm missing dizzy3 already... 😢

Spoiler doesn't do anything on the majority of cars.

Our atom has a beefy carbon spoiler and even the manufacturer admits it's doesn't really do anything for it, apart from look good. However, the front splitter on it does help.

Ive always thought that big spoilers actually push back against the air flow, reducing performance
Splitters sort of divert the air in certain directions.

It does help I believe, but not to the extent people want you to believe. More of a cosmetic thing that does make a major difference to the way a car looks.

Small subtle ones for styling are ok like the ones on the DSports.

Big stupid ones on FWD cars is a massive pet hate of mine...

                    You guys know nothing!

Bigger the spoiler on the back the more BHP you get - FACT!

I mean even adding racing strips gives you an extra 5% across the rev range...

Rubbish, strips give you extra top speed not power!

I love that spolier ! Have you ever been in one cyclone ? I bet it's exciting.... a whole lot of power and basically the weight of the engine keeping it on the road
