  • car plan demon snow foam

    Hi guys,

Just after some advice. Looking at getting some of this car plan demon snow foam and also the demon shine as well. The cost of it is about £20 for both of them. watched some videos on it and looks like its good stuff just wondered if anyone else has it or has ever used it??

I've used the snow foam before and wasn't impressed, it doesn't clean but may help as a pre-wash, although again I didn't personally notice any difference (however, I am in a hard water area so that might be why?). Never used the demon shine stuff.

Is the snow foam stuff to just take out any grit and sand? then wash afters?

Yeah, snow foam, dwell, rinse. Should clear the sand if I read Andys advice correctly in the other thread.

I'm gonna blast with surfex this weekend but the demon shine is good. Can get it for about £4 sometimes and often in halfords 3 for 2. It's cheap, gives great result but doesn't last too long. But I love the stuff.

Exactly right pal. Demon Foam currently in Wilkinsons reduced to £2.99 per litre bottle.

Quite right, it doesn't last long, probably 24-48 hours if you're lucky. Very good as a drying aid too.

i found the snow foam quite good when you take into consideration the total lack of effort it requires and tbh its at least as god as my normal car shampoo

Never used snow foam before, but believe its quite messy
If you keep the suds down, by adjusting the spray pattern, does it still work as effectively?

Its ok if you get the right products and the correct dilution ratios. It is messy though which is why a citrus pre-rinse or an application of Rapid Dirt Shifter is my preferred method before the 2bm.

Hey, me and my brother have both recently bought DS3s, I have just bought the demon snow foam to use on my car but his car has been vinyl wrapped in matte, is this ok to use on his or should he get a different one?

Wait hang on a brother and sister with DS3's? Okay it's official, you're the coolest family in the world!

I don't have the answer for you by the way but I'm sure someone else on here will.

I use the foam on a weekly basis on my Racing and my brothers Corsa (not as cooler family as Emma_Nicholls) and it works a treat. We work it in with a sponge but gives acceptable results. Still requires a proper sponge and bucket wash every month or so. The demon shine works great as well to remove the odd water streaks etc.

The foam will work fine on the vinyl wrapped car. Just be careful as with any wrapped car when pressure washing off.

Danieljnewman, I'm sure you were only joking when you mentioned using a sponge?? At least I hope you were?

                              Anyway, Happy Easter fellow members.
