Just had a look to see if my old car is up for sale anywhere yet(as you do) and lo and behold, I found it for sale by a private seller! (dealer sold it at auction)
Here are the lies in the ad:
Mileage is mostly motorway miles - Nope, I spent most of the time on country lanes and b/c roads.
Selling on behalf of my Stepfather who has moved away - Nope, he bought it at auction
Available to view at any time as I work from home - Yeah, buying and selling cars as a private seller.
Full Service History - Nope, missing one stamp from before I bought it.
And it has somehow acquired a dirty great rip in the drivers seat since I left it at the dealers.
This goes to show why I never buy from private sellers, as you can never be quite sure what you are getting.
