I both recommended her to the site, and recommended her to the 90bhp Diesel, and in my opinion i was correct on both fronts

          ^ Frogs on stand by.....

It's going to come down to the kind of driving you will be doing. If you do a lot of short bursts in town then the petrol is the better option, if you do more longer runs then the diesel makes a better case. important thing to remember is that the diesel has a filter system fitted which needs a good run at least once a month to clear through.

That said personal preference plays a part too.

Personally not a fan of the 120vti, it lacks any real grunt and other than aesthetically, there isn't really much you can modify if that's your plan.

The 90 diesel gets some pretty good figures after a remap and is going to be cheaper to run in the long haul.

Thanks for the help ... I work 10mins away and only really drive short distances, but I'm wanting something with a bit of ummmph as I currently drive a 1ltr petrol which is really really bad in that area haha... I won't really be modifying that much maybe just pieces here and there ;P

I really appreciate all the help

She works 10 mins away, but drives to the metro centre 400 times a month. Diesel is definately the way forward H. Get rid of that slow as hell Corsa

I quite like my VTi 120. It's got enough power for what I want and is fairly economical when you drive sensibly, but still has enough umph to have some fun with as well . It's not fantastic on the motorway though if I'm honest as it's lacking a 6th gear, but other than that I'm happy with mine so far .

Welcome to the club as well .

Welcome to the club, I do several longer drives a month so diesel will alway win for me even before the free road tax purely cos of the better mpg. Personally I prefer the drive/torque of the diesel to a petrol engine You could contact your local dealer and arrange test drives in both to see which you prefer driving
