Dangerousfish is correct, it's a petrol engine. I've not experienced any of the hesitation issues so far but I'll keep an eye out, thanks.

Ah, I see, unfortunately I don't have one of those 100 club badges, I'm guessing it's not something that's easily missed?

It does seem that all the original niggles either a) didn't exist (unlikely) or b) have been rectified by previous owners.

The extended warranty was something I was looking into, still under retailer 90 day warranty so have a bit of time left to decide.
