Hi everyone..

I had a 2010 megane tomtom coupe but part chopped it for a Peugeot 3008 as the wife wanted something bigger but if I'm honest I hate it.

Don't get me wrong it's a cracking car and nice to drive but boring...

Anyway after convincing the Mrs that it would be cheaper to run etc to go for something smaller I have come across a DS3 that I really like....

It's a Dsport HDi in red with white roof and black wheels, looks great but I'm just undecided what to do so thought I would join up and get some honest views, be they good or bad..

Only other thing to mention is the DS3 I have seen is mint, not a mark on it but it's on 62k and its 2011.

Is that something to be concerned about?

The DS3 hasnt been out for enough years to get into extra high mileage, but would hazard a guess that the Diesel engine is a bit more solid than the petrol version

DPF seems to be the achilles heel, where the inlet valves is for the petrol

Ed- 2011 version will not have the 3d rear lights, but you can upgrade for a cost

Welcome Stu. My DS3 is my 4th Citroen diesel & 2nd 1.6HDi. I have taken all my previous cars to around 100k miles and never had any issues apart from wear and tear items.

The more I look and read the more I'm getting drawn to this one I have seen, going to see if I can just squeeze a little more out of them for my 3008 if I can..

Went to sort out everything this morning and the other sales bloke took a deposit on it this morning,, to say I am cheesed off is an understatement...

So it looks like I am on the look around again, its just this one I wanted had everything I wanted with the colour etc...

That happened to me i thought i had a bargain with a White Diesel 11 Plate DSport, and it went within an hour of me finding the ad

i settled for my 1.6 120 VTI Petrol 36k on the clock, so far so good (its only been a week)

Sorry to hear this, hopefully you'll find a suitable replacement quickly.... I'm not trying to sound disrespectful with this next comment but I tend to see more red body/black roof DS3s than any other combo so hopefully this means there are more of them available second hand
