Hello from another soon-to-be DS3 White owner

Hi to all.

Ordered mine yesterday should be here in around 2 wks I was told.

First on the agenda will be sorting out the sound. iPod aux only I believe (can't believe new cars don't all come with ipod usb connectivity as standard nowadays) but I suspect an aftermarket head unit will improve the sound significantly anyway.

You can get an add-on unit from Citroen which plugs into the back of the existing radio to provide Ipod connection and also USB connection, have a look around on the forum there is a thread with info.

BTW the way that the standard head unit is setup doesn't give the best sound, you need to adjust the settings, again there is a thread with that info as well

I did briefly listen to my iPod, connected by the USB port that won't be in my DS White, on the demo. It didn't sound bad to be honest.

One thing I suspect I would quickly grow tired of is navigability through tracks. The Alpine head unit I plan to get installed can cut / slice on album / artist / track / playlist etc just like the iPod's native interface. Plus it has artwork.

plus it takes a digital feed from the iPod, the DACs are in the head unit, so the sound quality is really good.

I'm keen not to take a step back in either department.
