  • New DS3 owner here!

Just picked up my new DS3 2016 BlueHDI 1.6 DStyle. Shark Grey with black roof and purple chequerboard!

    Chuffed so far!

Couple of questions if I may?
    • Should I have Apple Car Play, or is that only the model with the new grill?
    • Is it possible to get anywhere near the 80mpg they state? I'm trying and only managing 53!
    • Are there any other power feeds other than the USB and cigar lighter sockets by the handbrake? I need to power my dash cam and don't really want to run a lead all the way to there...

    Welcome!!

We need to see the roof! Tapatalk is a great forum app that is free and allows you to share pictures from your phone really easily

Apple Car play I'm not up to date with, I've looked at those 3 words so many times I'm starting to doubt if they are real :S But loads of the guys know and will be able to help!

In reality - no one will get 80mpg - you might hit it a few times, but your driving style, road, tyre etc etc will be far from the conditions the of the book mpg.
There's a thread here with some Dsport Diesel mpg info - http://www.ds3club.co.uk/showthread....d-MPG-question. Might be some useful info there!

      Welcome to the club

CarPlay is only officially available on the facelift model, although a few people have managed to get their dealer to activate it, it's not officially supported by Citroen/DS so could void the warranty. Bigfeet (our resident dealer) advises to wait until the facelift model is out and DS make up their mind about it.

Try harder . It will take a few thousand miles for the engine to bed in but it really does depend on the journey you're doing and how heavy your right foot is. I have the petrol THP 155 and I regularly get 50mpg+ on long motorway runs, it's not exciting but it is possible, with a diesel the sky is the limit!

I've run two cables under the trim from the power socket next to the handbrake, one to the right side for my TomTom, the other up the left A-pillar for my dash cam, doesn't take long to do and if you're careful it's barely noticeable.

I have the DSport HDi 120 and also getting 53mpg at the moment! But I have only done 600 miles so far but it keeps going everytime i drive it but does seem to be stuck at 53mpg at the moment...

I would also like Apple Car play as i just missed out on the new model but I dont like the facelift anyway! Been told you can get it as an update by some nice peeps on here but when you call the dealer they dont have a clue what your on about! So going to wait a little while until the new model has been out a bit.

34.8mpg at minute (yes I'm looking at it all the time haha, only used half a tank so far) Think I need to get a new job where I'm doing at least a 50 mile round trip to get anywhere near the 53mpg that people keep mentioning, either that or I need a lighter right foot
