Sat nav does get updates which are done (depending on age of car) with either an SD card or using Memory stick, updates are normally through the dealer but you can get hold of the updates on some download sites

Hello! Just bought a DS3
Disaster.... With a possible silver lining.
Was due to pick up the new car today, the dealer called yesterday for the balance of the payment, however after various experiences with dealers I generally insist on seeing all the paperwork before handing over cash.
I had asked to ensure the service history and warranty information was present, however was informed they didn't have the service book, they were going to get a new one and get all the stamps and details done later. At this point alarm bells started ringing. I therefore asked for a copy of all receipts or a printout from the computer to confirm before I would hand over the money. The dealer got back to me later on to say that the first annual service had been missed but the rest were fine. On a car with only 4 thousand miles it wasn't a biggy except this in effect makes the warranty invalid. In case of a total engine failure they could claim the oil could have broken down over time and caused the issue. Highly unlikely but warranty companies may try to wriggle out.
I gave the dealer two options, get it in writing that the warranty would be fully underwritten despite lack of servicing or refund my money. Supposedly will be getting a refund on Monday.
Mrs Matt was rather annoyed but pleased I'd picked it up in the big scheme of things.
So what's the silver lining? Found another in Basingstoke same colour THP Dsport+ this time so folding heated mirrors which I've got a bit of a thing for. No sat nav, but personally I prefer waze, always up to date and won't look like some out of date zx spectrum in 5+ years. Even better, £1500 cheaper and got £300 more on my part ex.
The dealer must have thought I was barking, walked in and said "this is the easiest and quickest car sale you are going to make, got this car -showed picture on phone-, so long as it is in top condition I'll buy it". 10 minutes later I paid the deposit. Glad it's worked out okay for you. I would have walked away based on similar previous experiences where it's gone pear-shaped. Enjoy your new car."I'm a writer. I give the truth scope."
