Phoned them today, have been told the car is waiting to leave the factory on the 9th. The guy I spoke to reckons it might be with them 23rd-25th and they reckon they can have it ready for collection in 2 days. Hopefully this is all correct and I'll be driving it within the month.
Normally from factory date, as long as it does exit on said time, it takes 18 days which means that you would expect to see it around the 27th. Again search for my lead time thread and have a look at the chart for more information.
Not long now!
...I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!

When he said that I was thinking I've been told otherwise, just glad we're finally getting somewhere with it
Nice one! Bet you can't wait? I've had a few fast cars (450bhp GTO, R5Turbo) but the DS3 outshines them as it's so light and the handling is amazing. Ok the acceleration is fast as opposed to brutal, but by all accounts the Citroen figures for BHP and acceleration are modest rather than optimistic.
Did they at least give you back your deposit. Shame the way it's been really, the garage/parts section has always been superb for me.
I'm talking to them again tomorrow, had a chat today about deposits and the part for the cancelled Racing is being refunded, we're in discussions about the other half. Can't fault them to be honest, Sales Manager was very pleasant on the phone, won't go in to the full conversation we had, hopefully they will refund the rest and we'll all be happy. They're keen to retain my business for servicing etc and of course future car purchases.
It is unfortunate, I'd have been happy waiting for my DS3R if I hadn't been let down by a mate with the offer of a loan car for a couple of months, so it left me with having to make a quick decision that was ultimately right for me.
Keep us updated on your progress, will be great if it does arrive soon!

Really looking forward to it! I've just given up a tuned 6.1L V8 (480 BHP) for this but I'm really looking forward to get back in to something small and quick again.

The DS3R is about 164bhp/ton and your SRT8 was about 215bhp/ton approx, but the DS3R will make it feel fast and it will out handle the Chrysler (imo)
