  • New here but not to DS3's

    Morning all!

I have had a DS3, Dstyle plus for 3 years... loved it! After getting a phone call in the week to upgrade I thought I'd go and have a look about....

Unfortunately I found one in the second place I went to. Really looking forward to getting it but will miss my old car.

However, there is an issue with the car which makes me nervous... The power steering wasn't working, the speedometer worked sporadically, and other 'little bits'
The garage assured me that it is to do with a switch which throws off all the electrical bits and bobs which they are replacing and that it could be the battery power
    has gotten too low.

They had only received the car that morning (I literally spied it when I was snooping around their valeting section) and will be fixing all this before I get it.

Does anyone know of this problem? It is a 64plate Dsport Plus e-HDI Cabrio.

Am excited but a little nervous now :-(

    Thanks,
    Lizzie

    Hello!!

Did they say what and why was causing the faults and if they are repairing?

Does it come with warranty for the work they will be (I hope) doing?

Not sure of this switch that affects the electrical bits.......

    Keep us posted!

Never heard of the issues your mech/dealer has mentioned and I'm not too sure on his switch theory..

Battery/Alternator(bit worrying for a <1yr old car) could be faulty and should be relatively easy to fix. I wouldn't however suggest putting any deposit down until you've seen the car in full working order.

If they are to fix it all- no worries
If you are dealing with a trader, they have a legal obligation for up to 3 months after sale

They can sell it to you, then loadsa stuff fails to work after week 1

          Welcome to the Club :-)

The car should still be under it's 3 year warranty, but I would probably consider a used car warranty/extended warranty too.
