Hi all,
It's Niek from the Netherlands here. Being an Anglophile I figured it'd be rude not to register with a UK based DS3 forum. Not even sure if there is a Dutch DS3 forum but never mind that.[emoji6]
My motoring history goes back to 1982 when I passed my tests and got my drivers licence. First cars include several Opel Kadetts (Vauxhall Mk1 and Mk2 Astra for those living in the UK), a BMW E30 (now owned by my wife's son), a Seat Ibiza 6K, two Opel Corsa A's (Vauxhall Nova Mk1 and Mk2) which I still own, a 1952 Magirus Deutz army vehicle converted to camper, a VW Lupo 3L (as in litres per 100 km, not engine capacity) and lastly a Citroën BX Deauville.
The BX sparked my enthusiasm for our brand and I'm quite happy to drive a frogmobile again. Officially my DS3 is a company owned car, but I treat it as if it was mine. The downside of having a company owned car is that coworkers get to use it as well, leaving me to occasionally clean up their mess lol. The upside is evident: free diesel, free insurance, free road tax, free everything. Well chuffed.
Will post some pics when I have access to a computer (still getting the hang of tapatalk, mind) but here are a few details:
2012 DS3 1.6 diesel (92 bhp dv6dted engine)
SoChic edition in white
Audio package (Bluetooth, subwoofer, USB) and some sort of rose print on the (black) roof and floor mats
16" alloys
I believe the car has several other options as well - need to figure this out.
Coming from a Lupo 3L, this car is a shocking improvement in all aspects. Quieter, better handling, far better seat comfort, cruise control (love it!) and more boot space. Oh and lots more grunt than the three pot diesel in the Lupo which is nice. [emoji1]
I'll keep you posted about as the miles (kilometers if you will) rack up.
Cheers,
Niek
