  • Newbie wanting a remap

    Hi, recently purchased my ds3 but I'm already finding it a little sluggish, but it is a bluehdi 100, so completely my fault lol. Can anyone recommend someone to remap in Scotland? Found a Celtic tuning dealer not too far but I've had no dealings with them.

    I have got a blue spark tuning box for it, but I cannot get the plug off, my fingers are just too fat! So gave up with that idea.

    I've seen sptuning is highly rated on here but they are just too far away for me, and I don't know when I'll be next down that way, have family in Nottinghamshire.

    Thanks in advance for any feedback.

    Just a quick note that a remap will void your warranty, as will the tuning box I think.

    That said, if you don't care, you should be able to squeeze a decent amount of power out of it. I'm not sure if the 100 is a tune of the old engines or a new entity in itself. The old remap results were:

    90 --> 120
    or
    110/115 --> 140/145

    So depending on which turbo it has, expect to be somewhere either side of the 130 mark post-map

    Also welcome along

      Thanks 👍🏻.

      I'm at a loss to be honest. There's still 2.5 years warranty on it and it's already developed an issue with the instrument cluster, which I'm waiting for the go ahead to get fixed as they don't have any functioning diagnostic equipment, that's a main dealer! And my luck with cars at the minute, maybe not a good idea with a remap, the turbo will mealt or clutch disintegrate lol.

      It seems different in that a lot of guides I looked at for fitting the tuning box had quite a few differences, especially a large lump of plastic on the side of the block with coolant pipes and wiring going into it, possibly electric water pump?

        Oh the turbo and clutch will hold just fine, you have to really push the torque to burn the clutch out

        Just maybe look at non-permanent (vinyl/plastidip) ways to make the exterior look faster until it's out of warranty.
