  • Hello everyone! Hints and tips welcome here!

    Hi all,

I'm just about to pick up my 2014 Citroen DS3 E-HDI DSTYLE PLUS.

Love the look of this car and really enjoyed the test drive.

I know all cars have little quirks and tips to get the best out of them.

My question to all you experts is. What are your little tips?

Clean it yourself using decent quality stuff, i recommend Powermaxed, Autofinesse and a selection of Auto Glym & Meguirs. Look around for recommendations on cleaning there is lots!

Also i would highly recommend sticking to decent diesel and avoid cheap nasty supermarket diesel. Shell, BP & Esso .. You don't always have to get premium but its nice at least every few tanks,
and either STP or Redex Diesel injector cleaner every few tanks can make all the difference too.

Keep an eye out for rust, DS3's are well known for it just keep cleaning your paint looking our for it and corrosion on the alloys. I also advise keeping up with services and stick to decent quality parts.
A remap from SPTuning is a cert for that car too
    Bwaaahhhhhh and Pshhttt erryday!

      Welcome!!

The best tip I can give you is to turn up the volume in your car if/when you hear a rattle

Two things to check before you drive out of the garage/off the forecourt is to check for any wheel coorrsions around the centre caps (if you have bellones - black or white with silver edge diamond cut details)
      Some info here:

And if the exhaust bracket is sound - it's a common fault for it to rust quite early on in DS3's lifetime!

Post lots of pics and come to meets!!!

Don't ask about the LEDs... ¬_¬

On the fuel gauge some people miss the fact you can switch the display from trip to range by pressing the right hand button on the speedo.
