  • Hello everybody

Just popping in to say hi.

I live in the North East of scotland and a avid petrol head.
Over the past 9 or 10 years i have had a bit of a veriety of cars, from the most recent they were, VW Scirroco 2.0 TSI GT auto, Focus RS mk2, Honda CR-V mk2, Golf GTi mk6, Golf GTi mk5, Subaru Forester 2.0XT, Range Rover L322, Subaru Impreza WRX STI, Audi A4 2.5TDi, Toyota Celica GT4 ST205.

I am not yet an owner of a DS3 but i have my eye on a couple and hopefully if they are ok i will be owning one in the next week or so.

Hope to find a little advice on good and bad point to look for in the forum.

    Hello!

That's a pretty awesome back history of cars! So why the DS3?!

My Dad had a GT4!! The older around 1990 model. I LOVED it, he said he had to drive it fast because it was red.....

Thats the things i would say to my boys, the Focus was green and tuned a little bit so was quite quick. The GT4 was the one with the 4 round headlights, think your dads one would have had pop up light maybe, ST185 if it was, cool car, i did like them as well.

Anyway the DS3 is well.....I run a small detailing business from home and mobile so i own a VW T5 van which is an original 5 seater kombi, also has a removable bed that we use to have the odd night or 2 away. Anyway my partner wants a small car for zipping about at home that is reasonably practical, economical and has a little bit of get up and go about it, so i came across the DS3 Racing which seems to tick the boxes, its either that or a Mini Cooper which i think is a bit small. So the DS3 is a little different and since my business name starts with DS i think it will work ok as an advert for me also. And i quite like the look of them.

Yeah, that's the one He thrashed through the first set of tyres on it. Went to the garage and they said they had good news and bad news - the Good news was there was only 1 set of the tyre's he needed on the car in the UK, the bad news was they where the ones already on his car......

I'd do some homework on the Racing before you commit to buying one - Many are trouble free, but those that aren't....... well.... just do some reading

There is one Racing for sale I'd trust:

        http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011-DS3-R...19.m1438.l2649

After you've read up about them a bit, you might see how much of a rarity the above link is

I'm not sure that he does.

You can find a little more info here and more pictures: http://www.ds3club.co.uk/showthread....008#post244008

Although any questions throw Jamie a PM and I am sure he'll get back to you as soon as you can, if your looking for a racing, I wouldn't look anywhere else!

Will be messaging Jamie later on though. Thanks
