  • Morning all, owner to be

Registered here a few weeks ago as we have decided to lease a ds3, going from 2 older cars to 1!

Went for a dsport hdi in Belle le blue with white roof/mirrors and silver alloys - no extras though I couldnt see anything I would actually want on the list other than leather!

Ordered end of March and was given an approximate date of 6-8 weeks, however I have a funny feeling that will be closer to 12 weeks. Don't like waiting! especially seeing as I have sold my e36 328i coupe and am now driving the mrs' megane coupe- which I absolutely hate!

Loads of info on here which has been great and I'm also keen to see any developments on availability of maps for the 110 - it was pokey enough on the test drive but I am used to something with a bit more go!

Welcome, so far mappings proved difficult due to the 110s ecu, viezus working on this. In regards the 90hdi different ecu and thats had a result of 122bhp. So would expect a lil mote from the 110 eventually

Great choice!, I have the dsport 110, love it! I've had mine since Feb and have done 7000 miles and enjoy every minute. I had an E36 coupe and like my DS3 more if i am honest. I went for the city pack in my spec.
I couldn't fix yer brakes so I made your horn louder!

Yeah i certainly liked the little ds3 when I drove it, pretty unfair to compare it to my 328 in performance tbh so I wont (though I had a 2.0tdci focus before the bmw and the ds3 felt every bit as quick as that which has about 25bhp more + a bit of weight), but the ds3 was plenty comfortable, big-car refined on the move, stopped well, I really like the interior and especially the standard seats on the dsport. Will take a bit to get used to driving such a new car again but it's pretty good to know all our costs are practically fixed.

Looked at a few different cars before we ordered this one as we had a general budget of £200-220pm on the lease.

          If anybody is interested,

          Smallish:

Fiesta zetec s tdci - quite like the looks, hated the interior layout and materials, handled well but aboslutely dog slow - had alot of kit inside though

mito 1.3 jtd - I like the looks, she doesnt, interior was decent but didnt drive brilliantly which i was surprised about - reckon it would have bugged me day in day out

Mini - I dont like them ,just that bit too small for me, the mrs loves them and likes how they drive - must admit I like them to drive too but they just dont really do it for me all round. Nearly everything is extra too

          Clio 197

Ok this wasn't a lease, thought about buying one outright as I love them, but ultimately decided we didn't want the risk of maintenance or the added fuel cost. Obviously quicker all round than the citroen (not a fair comparison) but the little diesels torque makes up for it a touch, the ds3 is also far more refined and is nicer inside.

          Bigger:

Megane coupe 1.5dci - This was probably what ran the ds3 closest, we both really like the looks and I found it nice enough to drive but ultimately felt a bit slow and i wasnt that struck on the interior

Astra 1.6 - nice car the new astra but it's just an astra and it was petrol. Have driven them before, ok but couldn't have it as my only car.

118d - Would have been pushing the boat out budget wise for this and in all honesty I didn't feel there was enough about it to justify paying an extra £80 a month. Bit quicker as it's 140ish bhp but there isn't really any more usable space, just as much room in the front of the ds3 and nearly as big a boot plus it was a 5 door and there are loads of em about and nearly everything is extra.

2 year deal (6+23 so that's an initial payment of £1350ish) on a 110 works out at £220pm (roughly) with 20k miles, 4p a mile if over that mileage.

I got metallic paint free, dont have any sort of maintenance package but tyres are included in the lease (not that these should be needed)

The hdi 90's are a bit cheaper than that and the petrol dsport a bit more expensive

Welcome! That is a great price I couldn't get a lease quote anywhere near that for a personal lease when I was looking.

                        Hey!

                        Welcome!

I considered the Mito before falling for the DS3. Well, to be fair I was very hungover after a wedding in Lincoln and popped into a Citroen garage to have ANOTHER look around the DS3, and it won. The dealer was great and really contributed to my decision. I test drove the 150 and loved it!!! But I had managed to go from 3k on a used car to a new build, so didn't want to push my luck too much.

I was toying with the diesel, but went for the 120, with hifi pack and chrome strips.
