Ordered my DS3!

Hi all

Just ordered my Thorium grey with carmen red roof and black alloys. 110 HDI Sport with city signature. Not the most original colour combination but the best colour combination imo. They reckon 8 weeks delivery, so fingers crossed!

Test drove one about 8 weeks back and fell in love straight away. Also tested the Renault Megane coupe, nice car, but not as nice as the DS3!

I was suprised when the guy said it would only be 8 weeks, have heard some quotes of 4-6 months!! Got a good deal from drivethedeal too, so well chuffed.

I had actually pretty much accepted a deal with my local dealer, in the hope he could source a car within a week which was in the UK, but when that car wasn't available and there were no other colours I would take.. I suggested a factory order and he started saying stuff like "Your cars PX value will have dropped a lot by the time of delivery" and other stuff... Which didn't exactly convince me to go with them...

So went with NewCitroenDeals.co.uk instead - a guy called Mike put me in touch with a dealer. Now gonna be paying £20+ less per month, and £400 less deposit!

Yes dealers weren't very willing to discount at all unless I took out a pcp deal. Fortunately have the cash so saved around 2k going through drivethedeal. They put me in touch with a dealer in the south east who have been great. Local Citroen dealer is currently selling an '11 registered identical model to mine with 1400 miles on the clock for £400 more than I am paying for a new one!

We have this colour combination and love it, it was a difficult choice as love the red and the white and the blue......................love them all really, you wont be disappointed, not actually seen many other grey ones on the road, in fact havent seen that many others at all in the past 12 weeks we have had it.

Me too, Mike got me a great discount and found exactly what I wanted, only spoke to him last Sunday, I've already had the 'your car is on its way' from Citreon's MD, and I only ordered on Wednesday! Nice straight cash saving for me....

You have ordered around same time as me and I got my "thankyou for your order" on the 2nd June. Hope you hear something soon. Could be diesels are slowed by Japan supply pronblems.
