  • Hello!

    Hi there,

    I'm Clive from the midlands.

I'm considering ordering a DSport Plus 150 Petrol in Sport Red - I never thought I'd consider a Citreon but these little babies are so different! Came here mainly to see what mpg people are really getting - I presently drive a Leon FR 170 Diesel which is a great combination of performance and economy. However, seeing what people are reporting as typical mpg's they're getting I'm even more tempted for the petrol model!

Got offered the model in black pretty much overnight.

However waiting for a few offers on price for the DSport - think I've found a bargain if I'm prepared to wait - any dealers here are welcome to contact me (I hope I'm ok saying that!)...

I'm also trying to find out the exact T&Cs on the Elect 3, if you want to pay it off early. There's virtually no details of the T&Cs on Citreon's website - which is bizarre given there's several pages of T&Cs when you buy a simple book off a well known online website!

I also enjoy car detailing (i.e. extreme valeting as some people think of it!) as a hobby, so a sponge never touches my car, but I'll leave that chat for another forum....where I'm a reviewer of new products and I'm trained in machine polishing.

    Regards,
    Clive.

              Hi Clive,

With regards to elect3 I remember reading the details regarding this.

If you have the money available to my understanding you can take this money to Citroen and walk away with the car no questions asked.

Thank You! A good question, with such a potentially complicated answer! To get anywhere near perfection you need to use a machine polisher, as essentially swirls marks rob any car of depth and shine. In terms of wax (as opposed to polish), any wax will look if put onto a perfectly (or, very well) polished and prepped surface. The easiest thing to do is to recommend you to detailing world website, I've got the same user name on there....than start to read and it might make a bit more sense. If it appeals it can be very addictive, but personally I find the end result more than rewards the effort - and if you love your car, it's even easier to want to do it properly.....

Thank You! Just remember never to remove that dust with just a cloth and quick detailer, despite claims to the contrary, a cloth on dust without a proper washing first will inflict swirl marks on the surface...sorry I shouldn't be going on about that here!

Thanks....yes I have the money but a £1500 contribution from Citreon is hard to say no too, as long as there's no (or at least minimal) penalties for when I want to pay it off! My research shows it all seems ok though and worth going for!

                  Regards,
                  Clive.
