Yes, thanx for the tip about the valet/roof
....and for as for the engine - don't have much of a choice - I have to have an automatic so that is what I've ordered - I think they only do one.

Update on my new car ordered Wednesday 27 July 2011. I am, believe it or not still waiting and today is 14th October.
I was told on 27 July that it was a 6-8 week maximum wait and that I would have my car by end of September at the very latest or, if things really did not go to plan beginning of October. Some eleven weeks later and I am still waiting. Apparently there was a problem with some bolts but car was leaving the factory on 11 October. Now it is not scheduled to leave until 25th October and the garage say it can take several weeks following it leaving the factory for it to get to me.
Has anyone else experienced a wait as long as this?
A friend of mine's son has a Citroen (the one that is built with same engine etc as DS3 but is not a DS3). He ordered it and got it six days later!
Grrrrrr!

Yes plenty of threads on here to look at but basically french August holiday, parts hold up and the Tsunami/earthquake have all played their part and waiting times have been elongated. the factory I believe is now back on track with the new engines etc. Look for the other threads for a deeper explanation. it will get to you Spotty, keep the faith

Well I can assure you all it is well worth the wait.
Mine is Botticelli Blue (baby blue or sky blue) and it does have a black roof with white spots on it.
It also has dinky little mats with white spots (even in the back) and white piping round the edges (how cute is that!)
I found it strange at first as my previous car was an eighteen year old Honda Civic CRX (automatic) which is very low to the ground, a two-seater which a big boot whereas the DS3 is a modern 3-door hatch shape.
Getting used to it now. Love the speed limiter; getting used to automatic lights and windscreen wipers. Love the foldy-in side mirrors - especially as i have a very small entrance to my garage.
Heater is really odd. I have only turned it on once when I first got the car. Once I had figured out the dials and have the temperature set I actually haven't had cause to switch it on! Find it most odd in the dead of winter that the cabin of the car is warm.
Love it to bits and those of you still waiting for yours - you really do have a treat coming to you.
