Hello all,
Finally had my account approved and thought I'd introduce myself...
We're about to order a DS3 for the wifey as her commute is about to increase significantly. Looking to get a 1.6 HDi 110 Dsport Plus in Polar White and Black roof/wheels. No other options as this is about all we need on the car.
Took one for a test drive last weekend and I was really impressed. Looked great, amazing chassis and perky diesel engine. All in all a good package.
I've not actually seen a white one yet in the metal, seen a few (a yellow one and a blue one on the M1 commuting) but they still seem pretty rare.
I've heard these cars are hard to get a discount off because they are pretty popular etc, but I love a discount! Looking to order tomorrow after the dealer didn't phone me back today... with delivery late september apparently (car already in system with them). I'm starting to get a bit nervous about the delivery dates after seeing a few posts on here about long waits; and my insignia took freakin' ages to be delivered earlier this year; oh, and the fact that we've just sold her old car which is being collected soon!
We're getting rid of a Liquid Yellow Clio 182 due to the commute increasing and needing something economical. This is the first diesel car she will have owned following a load of perforance petrol cars (3xClio 182's, Megane R26, Abarth 500, MR2 Turbo...) but as I said above, this little HDi engine seemed quite feisty, considering the mpg figures it can return.
Anyway, looking forward to getting it ordered and taking some pics...
In the mean time we will be driving a mini 1.6 Cooper D Clubman... should make for a good comparison!
