  • New guy from Finland

    Hiya there
Checking in from Finland. Nice site your having here.
Getting my yellow/black THP156 next month and i can hardly wait. Was planning something nice for it, just to stand out from the rest. Haven't seen too many ds3's in here, so i think they are kinda rare still.
My grammar tends to suck, so bare with me in the future. :P

    Bit about me:
    age:29
    location:Vantaa, Finland
    Job: Truck terminal
    Past cars:
-Citroen AX GT injection 1991 (the monopoint one) This was my first car.
    -Seat Leon FR 1.8 20vt 2005(or Cupra)
-Subaru Impreza WRX STi 2.5 2006
    -Another Seat Leon TS 1.8 20vt 2004

      Hi there DS3Finland.

Are you able to order a DS3 with a yellow dash like this over there in Finland?

        Sadly, no yellow dashboard.
For some strange reason i couldn't get those yellow seats, nor the yellow dash. But im thinking of painting the dash anyway, so thats not a biggie.
we only have 4 different set of those sport seats available here anyway, because of the assgrill we get on every single new car sold in here and it seems yellow
is not one of the colours available.

Second option was white with black roof. Love white cars, but this time was planning to get something different.
Week after the order, i spoke with the salesguy from local citroen dealer and he told me that yellow/black is the most ordered colour combination... And i thought i was being wise not taking the most popular colour.
Same happened with my old Subaru. Didn't want blue since it's the most popular colour there is, so i took crystal gray...
And it turned out that, that was the most popular colour for 2006-2007 imprezas sold in Finland.

Yeah, I love white cars, ever since the Mk6 Golf I've started to notice them. I think they look reallly smart.
I think I was always going to get a white, my only other option was with the light blue roof instead of the black I have. I like the black tops, works well with the windows.

When I ordered mine (over a year ago) the dealer said he had sold Thorium Grey/Carmen Red was the most common. Mainly because they had one in the show room and everyone just ordered what they could see.

White is top of the poll on here

If you are thinking of painting your dash yellow, I made a thread with how to remove the dash, doesn't look too hard . . . .

Nice one WTF, saves me some time to dismantle the poor sucker. :P Have to pretty much take everything out anyway, since im installing new speakers and sub... Always such a pleasure to rip new cars interiour a part. :P

Is the citroens "HIFI" realy that bad that ppl keep saying, or is it just bad compared to another carmakers hifipacks (like audi and such)?
Can't be worse than subarus was... Speakers looked like they come out of and old tv or something... Just rubbish.

Gf had a white impreza sw and it was so much easier to keep tidy than our old black Leon... Both had the same prob for dirt standing out, but you couldn't see the paintdamage so clearly on a white car.

You can't get 16" wheels to fit am i right?

I'm sure that you can get a yellow dash kit that will cover over the existing panels which you save you a big job, ask John Nicol to see if I'm right.

I've already checked with John on this one - they're available from him in LHD only for £128.99 (that price was from a few months ago - they may have gone up since), and they take around 30 minutes to fit, so as Biggie suggests, they are covers for the existing dash rather than a replacement.

Price aint bad tbh... Will have to contact my local dealer and ask how much it would cost here. I could always go and wrap it, since im wrapping so many things anyway.

And some nice news, dealer called me this morning and told me that we can go and fetch the car... MONTH EARLY! Im so sure they had one stacked in some stinking warehouse, or someone didn't collect his car, i don't realy care. Only thing was that i had to remove speakers and headunit from our old car and i was planning doing that in two weeks. So happy i took some time off from work, since i had to do that in the rain and i already have the flu. :S

                            So tomorrow styling begins!
