  • Newbie - "Black Edition" HDI, Male , Lancs :-)

    Hi folks,

I've not really had a look around yet, but I've just bought a very tidy 1 year old "Black" complete with ghastly white stripes/wheels!
(Which look *bearable* in the flesh)

I've picked one up because its the only 70+ mpg car with any soul to it, and I will have to sit in it for at least 10 hours per week. haha

It replaces my lovely but regrettably not so efficient Saab, and compliments my weekend toy (Vx220T).

Looking forward to getting to know the car/you all. - I'm an engineer by origins and will probably have it apart before too much longer.

Why aren't you keen on the wheels/stripes?! All can be changed easily

I spend 10 hours a week in my DS3 back and forth to work

Hehe - Well I had white wheels on a black Ford Focus once. They even had a pink flip. (I bought them that way, I don't bat [regularly] for the other team).

Everybody at work liked to tell me how gash they looked on a daily basis. I guess I've had it conditioned out of me.

As for stripes; @28 I'm definitely not young enough to pull that off on anything other than a Shelby Cobra or Dodge Viper.

If it is any consolation to the good people at Citroen, I am a fan of the Chrome mirrors for some reason, and the piano-key-white dashboard insert.

Welcome to the club and there's nothing wrong with white wheels...............................apart from the constant cleaning, lol

And repainting them in every 2 years (atleast for us who suffer from roadsalt).

Welcome, and that's why you have a 2nd set of winter tires, I know you do Finland I just know it.

True cyclone... And because of that, almost every car is going to be bit less good looking for the next 4-6months. Can hardly wait. -.-
Was tempted to go for the white set too.

                      Thanks
I like light, stiff bodied cars, one thing that drew me to the DS3.

I'm currently agonising as for the first time in my life I've had to get a loan to buy a car, and the loan agreement should have arrived in the post Friday. I was meant to be collecting the car on Wednesday too! That is likely not going to happen.

Know exactly what you mean. I actually miss my old 60 mile drive to work every morning, just me myself and I driven along
