Hi Guys,
I have been a member for about 4 weeks. Picked up my DS3 about 3 weeks ago. Been reading all your threads and thought it was time for mine.
I chose the DS3 after watching " Top Gear " and seeing the DS3 Racing. Went to see the dealer only to find out we dont receive it in Australia. " SPEWING ". I didn't think the normal DSport would ever be as good as my wifes mini she bought. So I took the DSport for a test drive. It does everthing far better, I signed for the car there and then, since Citroen is offering $8,000.00 discount at the moment (normally $41,250.00 and I paid $33,290.00 with Bluetooth, rear parking and two tone paint.) . In Australia we basically get the choice of 7 colour combinations on the DSport. That's it. Even then, you really take what's here at the time ,unless you would like the 6-7 month wait but can only pick from the standard range anyway ( I thought 3 months for the Mini was bad). I chose Thorium grey / Carmen roof and Carmen dash. Love driving the car and everthing thing about it from the driving position to the comfort is brilliant (not as back shattering as the Mini.) My only thing I want to change is the wheels. Not so sure I like them at the moment.
Currently in the process of purchasing a set of DS3 racing rims in Grey from John Nicols. He has given me a fantastic price. This will be a 3 month process. I also purchased the mud flaps , foot rest and wind deflectors through John. Nice bloke and gives us great prices as a member of the club.
I will post pictures once I get the wheels on, as it is just basic at the moment.
Thank for reading my rant:cool:
