Hello to all...

Just purchased a 15 plate DS3 Dstyle Techno 155..... Really enjoying it so far...

The DStyle techno was a weird one, had less kit compared to the DSport I think but a THP engine. Might not have the sport seats or the carbon effect bits.

i need to check the seats then, carbon fibre effect stuff missing- dashboard area from what i recall- not fussed
Prefer the Aphrodite wheels, and the front lights are fab....

Looks like the THP perfromance is still same round 150 bhp

otherwise, dont seem much different to me. slightly update engine to the THP 150. PCV layout from what i recall, and air intake

interested te hear any other changes

Update on first month of ownership:

1 Car temperature gauge stopped working and stayed on cold for all journeys regardless of journey distance and time
2 Slight rattle on cold starts in mornings that disappeared after a few miles
3 Replaced wash wipe fuse

So:
After only three weeks of driving it, the car is back at main dealer and has been diagnosed as needing a new thermostat and housing, etc..... Also a new timing chain replacement kit - thankfully all under 3 year warranty so no cost - PHEW!!!

I have also extended the cars warranty with Citroen this week for another year

My question is though - how long do timing chains last and will it be an upgraded component from Citroen that is now fitted? - the car has only done 30 000m and is on a 2015 plate!!!!!

Thermostat replacement is pretty normal- mine went at about 18k miles
Extended warranty is a great idea- if i get a THP (And have looked at 3, waiting on one) will get the longest warranty i can get
Timing chains should last longer than 100k ideally, altho the earlier THPs had problems with them. It was mainly the tensioner not doing its job leading to a bit of a rattle that sometimes develpoed
Keep topped up with good quality oil, especially in winter. Chain needs to get lubed up and the noise dissapates

Thanks - Hopefully will come back from Citroen all good.... Feel i have a 'love / hate relationship' with it at the moment.............. Love driving it..........Hate the agro after 3 weeks

When you say 'earlier THP's' and timing chains ? - from what year was that please? And is the 155 (2015) in that category of problem with the chains?
