First time DS3 Owner - Got some questions!

Hi Guys! Very happy to be part of this club, and loving my new ds3 here in Norway. However, there are some things I don't quite get. I've got the 2013 e-HDI 1.6 115 Sport. When I start up the car, there's a quite loud static/electronic whine/hizzing type noise coming from within the dashboard. When I am driving, it disappears when i use the brakes, and as soon as i let go of the brake, it appears again. Quite annoying and I have never heard anything like it in any car before.(kind of reminds me of coil whine from computer graphic cards) Any ideas what it could be or how I can fix it?
Also, I have no idea how to find out what my firmware version is, or anything at all about map versions and so on. I do not have the touch screen model and I can't find it in any of the options. I kinda need to figure it out so i can go to gpsunderground and download map updates as I am not a rich man and can't afford to pay 69£ everytime I want up to date maps.
Any help would be appreciated as I am a bit of a noob :/

Hello fellow Norwegian owner! Welcome to the club
The only static noise i have in my car is when the stereo is on and there is no AUX connected, simply muting the stereo fixes it for me. Your issue might not be the same tho.
