Had my DS nearly a week now. Was thibking of a dash cam any suggestions?

It's quite discreet and the cables can be hidden in the roof lining and A pillar before going to the fuse box.

I can highly recommend this one my friend - Superb quality image/vid, even at night...
Install via cig lighter, or you can hard wire yourself easy to fuse box

I installed mine via cig lighter in 10 mins, after i routed wires round dash....
Then i needed the cig lighter to charge my dam phone, so hard wired it to spare fuse on fuse box.
That took me around 30 mins, by time i routed and hide all wiring

Hard wire kit sounds like a good plan. I’ve been thinking either doing that or powering it off an Anker battery pack that charges when the car is on. Prevents accidentally draining the car battery.

I'm thinking of getting one, the capacitor ones appeal to me as I've read about issues with the cams that have batteries as they overheat in the summer and then don't work properly....  I know this won't be all of them but I can do without the hassle

Footage looks decent, it uses a capacitor too, apparently can operate from -30°C up to 75°C.

I've now ordered one with a 128GB card, should arrive tomorrow so will update when I've installed it.

A bit off topic, but has anyone seen a good solution to fitting a dash cam in an old shape C3 with the zenith windscreen.

Dash cam arrived yesterday and fitted last night. I like it so far, pretty compact and seems to have pretty wide angle view. Will check the footage when I get in and see how it is.

Checked the footage and it seems good to me. I like having front and back cameras, I tested the motion sensing and it seems to pick up most things. Used 96GB of space for approx 12 hours today, good job I bought the 128GB card. I'd recommend it if you're looking for similar.
