Hi everyone. I'm Jade, and I'm a spangley new DS3 sport plus owner. It's the first time I have ever owned anything younger than 15 years old and it's weird for me. She tells me how to park and when to change gear... She's actually pretty goddamned opinionated. Things could get tense. Lol

I bought her yesterday, so I'm still working things out. I seem to have conquered Bluetooth pairing, but the music icon appears to be greyed out and I can play neither tunes nor audio books at this time. I don't know if anyone knows how to fix that...? But this is mostly an introduction and a general 'hey' *waves* since a look at the instruction manual and play around should hopefully present itself before I p*ss anyone off by repeating a thread that probably already exists in a dozen other places :-)

Regarding the Bluetooth, when you connect, you need to make sure that audio streaming is allowed, both on the phone and the stereo. I'd check for those when you're reviewing the manual.

She's a bit of a Barbie car and a radical contrast to my own "find a muddy patch and camp in it" personality. But I think I enjoy the irony, and she is a VERY pretty little car. She's the sport plus edition, and becomes really fun at 4000rpm as standard so I don't think I'm going to modify. To my eye she already looks and acts like she has been :-)

Still can't get my phone playing audio over Bluetooth and the manual isn't hinting much at a solution... It looks like I have a different stereo to the one in the manual (in the manual it clearly has a 'phone' button, which I don't have, for one example) But I've heard suggestions of uploading and playing ones music from a USB stick. Could be a workable solution if it works.

Additional to the Bluetooth issues... When I go into the configure-Bluetooth screen, it does look like an icon to represent music is there but sort of 'scattered' and greyed out. I wonder if this means the car simply doesn't support it? Does this car support Bluetooth music playing as standard, or is it another add-on I simply might not have... Does anyone know, please?

Firstly, welcome to the club Jade and loving the "girlie" pink and white combo!! What screen do you have in yours? Is it an orange one or colour? There are different ways of setting it up for different screens.

As Funky says there are a few different screens, you have the DSport Plus so I’m pretty sure it should work if you have the orange screen (Monochrome C) or eMyWay (say nav, large colour screen and USB port).

It’s also possible the unit has failed. If you take a pic of the screen / error, we can advise.

It's the orange monochrome screen. It's working now!! :-D I appear to have a car with character. I swear to god I pressed all the same buttons yesterday and got nothin. Today, it just hooked on in without any hint of a challenge.

I think it will only connect within the first few mins of of starting the car, so possibly you’d had the engine on longer when you tried the first time?

That or gremlins, remember not to feed them after midnight.

Welcome to DS3 ownership Jade. You will get used to these "features ". Glad it's working tho. Mine doesn't always connect first time and I have the same screen.
