Just saying hello, i just purchased a 2012 Dsport plus 1.6THP to pick up tomorrow, i have been on here all week reading up as much as i could before i went ahead. I checke for as much as i could remember from rattling noises from engine to paint bubbles around wing mirrors, i found no issues, not even any scratches on the think. Its only done 35k miles so not overly used and hopefully not too abused, it seems to be good enough and i got a 1 year full warrantly included as payment for my old part ex mondeo. Hopefully i will not be posting asking about too many issues but i will for sure keep reading the posts and visit as much as possible.

My first port of call in the coming weeks is a checkover at SP Tuning and if needed a walnut blast etc, maybe leave the remap till the years warranty is up.

Welcome to the Club naijishi. Nice motor the THP, Ive had 2, a 2011 and a 2013.
Getting a warranty was a great move- watch out for the HPFP fuel pump

Getting a Sportscat is pricey but well worth it imo - and needed if you want to make the full use of a remap

thanks for that, i just got the MOT back and it passed ok, only advisory is rear tires slight inner edge wear. So nothing too dramatic, unless you guys know of a bad reason this might be happening!

Possibly swapped wheels front to rear to save spending on new Tyres

^^^ only problem with that is when all 4 are worn- more expense

Inner wear will be the camber on the wheel alignment I think- needs a laser wheel alignment check about £30 to get a print out
Heel and toe and all that (The angle that the wheels are set)

thanks for that i will have it checked, i didnt pick it up today as when i started the car i noticed it didnt say oil ok, it said oil-- in stead, i phoned citroen and they said could be low oil caising it or a faulty sensor, the carage checked the oil and it was at correct level so they have ordered a oil sensor to sort it out and if that turns out not to be the problem they will give me a full refund and ill look for something different

well...still havnt got the car, they had to wait for the oil pressure sensor to be delivered from citroen and it took 2 days insead of one that they said it would to deliver, do not the dealers fault and they told me that replacing the sensor has solved the problem but because car was in garage it hadnt been detailed so to pick it up at 11am in the morning. I will try to find out more about what the actual issue was and make sure everything else seems up to scratch before i drive away wwith the car. I will update tomorrow with what they say and hopefully some pictures etc.

be careful and give the car a good 100 mile drive within the first 24 hrs is my advice

picked it up a bit earlier, will take it for a long drive tomorrow, thw oil ok icon comes on right away as it should it worked as soon as they put on the new sensor so that was good, it seems to have beenlooked after as in not a mark on the body or even inside it looks brand new apart the odd kerb mark. Checked all the electrics and sensors are all working, i read about some people having issues with the bluetooth connecting so i thought id try that and it worked first time and began streaming music perfectly. So happy with all that tho i know that is all the fluff stuff so willcheck it out with a drive tomrrow and if all seems good ill book it in for the walnut blact and proper check over by a pro and take it from there.!
