Hello all,

ive just picked up my first DS3. 2016 1.6 Hdi style Nav (think that's what it's called). Impressed so far but only really drove it home so far.

Its only 2 years old, 24k miles and with a 2 year warrantee so not overly worried, but are there any common issues particular to the DS3 I could prevent early on?

Excuse the pics, I took them at the dealership, ill get some better pics when I detail it at home.

Hi Chris8126 and welcome to the club and forum. Your DS3 looks great. There aren't too many issues with the engine you've got. Just make sure you do regular longer journeys on the motorway maybe once a week/fortnight to ensure the DPF doesn't get clogged. A good motorway blast (of at least 20 mins to half an hour) will burn the build up of deposits in the DPF to keep it clear.

One thing I would advise (although it is a little while off for your DS3 yet) is get your dealership to do a bodywork paint check at 4 years. It's in the back of your service handbook, after your service stamp sections. This will ensure if you have any paintwork problems, after the standard 3 year warranty, they should be covered by Citroën/DS. If you miss it (as I and others have, coz Citroën /DS do not remind you about it) they will not provide one any later as the "onus is on the owner to ask for it".
