poor fuel consumption

Hello all

I have one of the 99gr Co2 versions. I thought it would be really good on fuel. Wrong! Did a trip down to North Devon this weekend, 400 miles round trip at 70MPH on cruise control, and only managed 55MPG. The car was not overloaded, only 2 adults and some surfboards, inside the car. The engine was at about 2200 RPM at 70MPH. I seem to get better consumption in town, where I get 61MPG.

Sure You're Looking At Current Trip Consumption And Not 'Overall' Consumption ?

I find that too.

Also, diesels usually need a good few thousand miles under them before they deliver the goods in terms of mpg.

In Theory Tho Cruise Control Should Save You Fuel...

Don't go with the computer!! Do it the proper way and fill up, drive and then fill up again and work it out on paper - thats how you get the correct MPG!!

By the way when i was driving an 99g i was getting around 64MPG on average.
