                    I'm in harwood jimbob, u?
there is one question I need to ask (sorry if it's already been covered) - some people are saying to me that you have to break in a new car?! what exactly does this entail? do I need to keep the revs low for so many miles or do I not need to worry with the ds3?
                    cheers :-)

You don't need to 'Break' it in, Just don't rag it for the first 2000 miles,

Mind some people think that works better !

In either case you don't need to worry

Jimbob hails from Hermitage Green (near Warrington)!

Break in a new car? - drive it like you stole it! This is a serious approach which has been well researched and can be found on here (somewhere).

Good luck - see you at a meet. Time we had a NW one folks, even Rick might turn up.

It's not as big a deal in newer cars. You can rag the balls of it from new, drive it carefully for the first 500 or keep it below 30mph for the rest of it's life.

Either way, you don't really need to run the engine in.
