Hi there!
My name's Ash and I'm from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. I currently have a Mitsubishi Lancer VRX which I'm getting very sick of - the road noise, engine noise and generally poor build quality left me wanting something a bit better. I was tossing up between a Fiat 500 TwinAir, or the DS3. I love the look of the Fiat, but ultimately the two cylinder engine with Australian distances would be too ridiculous.
I went for a long test drive in a DS3 DStyle EGS (Not confident driving a manual, have driven autos all my life) and was quite impressed! The gearbox low down is a bit rough but once up to speed I found it really quite nice. The interior is great, I love the feel of all the surfaces. The prices in Oz have just dropped by $2,000 so now is a pretty good time to buy I think!
I know in the UK your models are different, and it seems most people here have the Sport model - does anyone have the EGS (automated manual) and what do you think?
My next biggest problem is choosing a colour. The one I test drove was white with the black roof, black wheels and leather which I adored. However I also love the yellow and red with black roof. Decisions!!
