Just thought you should be aware of buying some supermarket diesel..Ive only done 12.500 miles, Broke down twice...Took it to the main dealer and they told me the reason i broke down was because the fuel filter was blocked by the fuel turning to jelly, this happens in cold weather..so I had to pay for my first service and also £170.00 for a new filter....Not happy.....

It's called 'Diesel Waxing' and it is quite common, the reason it happens is that diesel fuel tends to solidify at colder temperatures. In order to combat this fuel providers use an additive mixed into the fuel to help prevent this. The issue comes from retailers trying to clear stocks of summer fuel or using stocks which don't have enough addictive in to start with....I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
