  • Hey newbie here...

Hey everybody. Im still looking for my ds3 Not got the most money to spend. Found my ideal car yesterday, was meant to be going to look/buy today then recieved a phone call last night saying it had sold. Bummer! Im after a diesel and have found another i like but has near 60k on the clock. Is this alot on a 10plate? Im in no rush to buy but i want one so bad!!!

    Hi and welcome !

Re the car, 20k a year approximately ? As it's a diesel I wouldn't be overly concerned if it's got a full Citroen service and you're happy that it's been looked after. Does it look well loved ?

Yeah the car looks nice. Its being sold at a citroen dealership, its about a 2 hr drive from me so just thinking wether to go have a look today whilst im free. I drove one last week and now im hooked haha, im eager to get one but dont want to rush into just buying for the sake of having one.

Yeah could well be a reps car, dnt think im guna go for that one! Im now questioning if a diesel is even best for me. I do quite afew miles on motorway but then just as many nippin round!? Supose the cheap road tax on diesel is always a bonus.

All depends what is more important for you i guess. Personally i would find the engine i like, then find the one with the best price, then mileage, then colour combination.

Yeah swinging towards a diesel. Just seem to be abit more expensive to buy. Messed up really, test drove a 60 plate 18k miles black. Was ready to pay cash and the salesman was trying to squeeze a couple more hundred out of me so told him to do 1 on principal. Now i cant find another like her haha.

My mileage in the first year was around 13k - to and from work and to DS3 club meets, so 60k probably a bit high. Like mentioned above the 110 and I assume the new 115 DSports diesels are road tax free. Be wary of the 150THP's (use the search from threads on problems that some have had).
