  • Moving from Clio to DS3 ?

We are currently considering changing our Clio 197 F1 for a DS3 THP.

Before we start going out and looking at cars for sale, i'm trying to work out how many variations of the THP model there are.

Is there Turbo and no Turbo version ? Specs on autotrader seem to indicate some cars having 0-60 of 7.0, 7.3 and 7.8 ?

Are there different internal finishes ? I've seen a couple with Sat Nav - is there different specs like the Mini's with Chilli packs etc ?

Any finally - which is the best colour

Thanks in advance for any advice..

      Welcome

I'd do some reading up on here about the petrol Dsport. Newer ones seem fine, but being transparent about the THP full story always seems best!.

Re spec and extras, this thread may help:
      http://www.ds3club.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6346

      Dsign, no turbo
      DStyle, turbo on the diesel
Dsport, turbo on Petrol & Diesel
      Racing..... Obviously

Colours, well I'd say white! Black roof is a classic, but the blue would look really smart.

Thanks for the tips - always best to get the information the manufacturers dont tell you about

Not sure if i can bring myself to own a diesel - currently own two V8 petrol monsters too, and diesel just seems so wrong.....

White is currently top of our list.

Love the look of the racing but my wife is concerned it will stand out too much when she pops down to Tesco's

Get the 'other' racing. It's white and grey. Lots of photos in the DS3r sub forum.

Havent managed to locate one of those yet, plus saw bad review on Pistonheads from owner who had problems after couple of thousand miles from new

Shall continue reading up on the 150/155 timing threads and see if going the DS route is right for us....

Don't let the negative threads get you down, the THP is a lovely car to drive, I've had my THP 155 for 15 months and had no issues with it.

Whichever DS3 you go for, you won't regret it

                Welcome to the forum!
I also have a 155 THP and have no problems to report so far(4months).
You could go for a white one if you don't mind every other one you pass being the same.
Have a look at the photo section of the forum, there are some fantastic colours(other than white).
I myself went for the Hickory/white roof which in my opinion is seriously under-rated.
Look at my photos on here and you will see how awesome it looks.(but I am biased).
Hope you find the right car for you and the wife.

                Regards Tbart

Hi DArby- I'm with Beefmasta and TBart on this one
Petrolhead myself, but a remapped diesel 115 is a good drive
Had my 155 6 months and 9500 miles in, and mines great

Hope you choose whats best for you
