  • New girl about town :)

Hey, just came across this forum while trying to find out what exactly is carried out on a first service!

I'm a fully qualified driving instructor from Essex, with a Shark grey/ Infinite Blue roof combo DStyle+ 1.6 e-Hdi 90.

Some useful info on this site.

Welcome to the club. I must admit I love that colour combo.

There really are some awesome ones. If I hadn't instantly fallen in love with the Red Edition I'd have had a very hard time coming up with an alternative!

              Thanks for the welcome guys

I've got myself a set of winter wheels, going to paint them to match the roof - hopefully!!

Oh and while I'm here, can anyone tell me what is done on the first service? Is it just oil and filter?

                Hi Sash + welcomes !

I believe it's the usual check over plus the filters and oil change,

Biggie will be along soon to clear it up

I assumed first service would be oil only. Meh, I'll grab an air and pollen tomorrow. Mahle will do, not gonna go for stealer prices again, £10 for an oil filter lol

                      Thanks for your replies!

Normally I would, but as it's a leased car I'm bound by the silly rules about dealer or authorised agent only b0llox
A basic service like this should take no more than an hour tops. However, I'd like to hear if anyone's has taken longer?
I'll be waiting for them to do it (a bit of added pressure eh!), the guys in the parts dept know me anyway and know I'm not to be fed a load of bull because I won't swallow it, I question everything haha! I'm a dealers worst nightmare.

The reason for it is that the car belongs to the Finance company exclusively when being leased, as it's their car they make the rules for the servicing and repairs.

Anyway the first service normally is Oil and Filters as well as a check of the particle system. Make sure you get the service book stamped as well, CCM kick up a fuss if it is not done.
