hi all not yet a DS3 owner ive only recently taken to them in all honesty, i currently drive 2 fords a focus and a fiesta but they are both getting replaced soon the mrs wants a pugeot 508sw in exchange for her focus and i cant stand my fiesta zs any more which brings me here i love the look of the DS3 so im looking at a 1.6HDi. I was at last years TRAX show and had a nosey round your stand which i believe was the start of my love for the DS3 ill be looking about the forum alot trying to gain info on what to look for what the common faults are (all cars these days have em) and what mild mods the 1.6HDi can take but for now i look forward to looking over all your lovely motors.

regarding the mods ive owned and modified a derv before and to be fair they are all basically the same up to a point......pannel filter, decat exhaust, dpf removal/modification now its a mot requirement (nothing i cant get around) and a remap im not going to be power chasing as its pointless in a derv, just small improvements. how do these respond to lowering springs? as my focus and fiesta are on -35mm eibachs the focus is very forgiving and handles like a dream for a diesel where as the fiesta is RUINED (too hard/harsh over bumps now) and i dont need the full adjustabiltiy of a full coilover system so lowering springs are the better option for me.

Zack would probably be the best person to speak to re Diesel DS3 mods then, you can take a look at his build thread for details of what he has and is still doing to his car - http://www.ds3club.co.uk/showthread....t=build+thread
The remaps typically give 30bhp, with no loss of mpg (small improvements sometimes) so for most those results are worth the expendituresigpic

im from the doncaster/sheffield area as for colour combo im kinda open to it BUT ive just been on the Citroen site and spec'd roughly what im looking for (DS3 e-HDi 115 Airdream 6-speed manual DSport with £600 of options and £422 accessories) new would cost me a reasonable £18772 now that's slightly out of my monthly budget of around £200 pm but that was new and id be happy with something up to 2 years old which i would hope bring roughly what i want for what i can afford like i say im stuck with my fiesta for now (saving like mad to pay it off) but as soon as i have i recon this is what im going to be having.........cheap, fun looking, economical and just enough power not yet come across any major issues with the 1.6 HDi unlike a few other makes ive been looking at which are looking less likely by the minuite lol
