Hi all!,
New to the forum and Citroen! Away to pick up a brand new DS3 Dstyle plus 1.6vti 120. Getting it in shark grey with black roof. Quite excited as I haven't had a new car for awhile.
I have had a quite a lot of sporty cars in the past such as 106 gti, clio 172 cup, civic type r, integra type r, s2000, evo 4 and my favourite was a focus rs mk2! The rs was my last sporty car but sold to buy a house (was gutted!). I have been using my wifes old fiesta as we just got her a brand new 1.0 ecoboost 125 fiesta.
So I'm trading in the old fiesta for the DS3, I was going to wait a bit and buy myself a new focus st but we were having problems with the old fiesta and i got a good trade in price for it from arnold clark which is when i saw the DS3.
I know its a big step down in performance but I do a 50 mile day commute to work so wanted something half decent on fuel so the DS3 ticked the boxes as the 1.6 vti seems a good balance between power and fuel econemy.
Can anyone comment on the performance of the vti? Is it anything like a 106 gti as that was a 1.6 about 120bhp. I know the gti was lighter but it was bloody quick for what it was!
Will post some pics when i get it, don't have any plans for it at the moment. Will have a nose through the forum for some insperation, I have bought a couple sandisk cruzers for the usb port though!
